LILY LOLO FOUNDATION & BLUSH REVIEW

A new found love of mine. The very lovely brand Lily Lolo. I have owned the full size mineral foundation once before, my shade is Blondie, and I liked it very much at that time as well. The reason why I didn't repurchase straight away was probably because I wanted to try other foundations at that time. But I got a little nostalgic and remembered how great it was when I was especially into giving mineral makeup another go. And I'm so glad I did, because I love the natural finish it gives me. I also decided to try a blush, the shade Clementine, which is a gorgeous color. It goes well with my green eyes *giggles*. Seriously, it's a pretty coral shade that really gives a luminous healthy color to my cheeks. I can't explain it, but it feels brighter and more colorful on my cheeks than other blushes that I've tried do, in a good way, definitely. Below you can see a picture of me without any makeup and a picture of me with the Lily Lolo foundation and Clementine blush. Hey there dry lips.

Before and after:
I think you can really see results in coverage - the skin look airbrushed in a natural way. It's like my skin but better, kinda. I don't have many problem areas when it comes to breakouts, but I occasionally get red spots and blemishes here and there. I felt it covered up the small red spots after buffing the product in my face and if I have blemishes that are a little harder to cover I take a small brush and dot it on the red spots that need extra coverage. If that doesn't do it and I want more coverage, I just use concealer first. But I can very easily use this foundation on its own - I love how it makes the skin look air-brushed. It's crazy good. I wouldn't recommend this to someone that has a lot of blemishes to cover - or well maybe I would, I'm not sure. It probably will take some work to get a full coverage. But at the same time maybe it will be better for your skin if you get a lot of breakouts. I believe this has made my skin breakout less in the last few days that I've used it, woohoo. What does it say about this foundation on their website? "Finely milled mineral foundation SPF 15 that buffs into the skin effortlessly, and allows custom coverage when applied in buildable layers. Made from natural ingredients to ensure the skin is kept clean and healthy, minimising breakouts and blemishes." I personally think it does all that.

What are your thoughts on the Lily Lolo brand?

BLUSHER BY H&M: SWEET ROSE

On sale I bought this pretty kind of cranberry shaded blush from H&M. It was really cheap - about 2£. I have been wanting to try a darker shade in blush to see if it suits me, it would be so pretty now when autumn is here so I thought why not try it out now with this cheap little thing. It gives a nice rosy colour to the cheeks, but it shows up quite pigmented on my pale skin so I have to be careful with the amount I put on. It's a good blush for the price paid and a gorgeous colour.

FATE OF FLOWER BLUSH

I bought this in a low price store a few weeks ago, I thought £1 was nothing really so I decided to try this blusher. My intend was to use this as an everyday blusher and I am actually quite pleased with this. You never know what to expect when makeup is that cheap. This is a pigmented orange/coral shade that applies well on the cheeks, only needing a small amount on the brush to get good color. It's a nice shade and I feel like I am collecting coral blushes haha. I managed to find manufacturer Yiwu Yaqis website but I'm not sure I found the blush I bought. This looked similar, the link lies below the pictures if anyone is interested.

E.L.F. BLUSH: CANDID CORAL

Finally finally I have the one blush I've been wanting for a long time - Candid Coral. I've been wanting this for so long - but every time I'm about to order the shade is out of stock. Note: I usually order when they have some kind of offer. This time they had free shipping for the weekend and the shade was there. Hooray.

I love this shade, it is probably my favorite blush right now. A lovely peachy coral tone with a hint of shimmer to it, I imagine this blush being suitable for almost anyone. It applies well on the cheeks and you can easily decide how much color you want. I like it as much as I thought I would and I'm so happy that I got it. Coral blushes are my favorite.

E.L.F. ESSENTIAL BLUSHES

These two pretty blushes are now in the hands of my sister who got them when we last ordered. I really wanted to try them myself because I've had an eye on the shade Glow for a while now. And it sure was pretty. So I laid my hands on these just to try them out and to do a face swatch for you. I end up never doing swatches. Fo shame.

I first tried the shade Glow  and I have to say I liked this one the best. It is a lovely peachy color that I really love, but the pigmentation wasn't as good as Innocent though. With Glow I had to do several strokes on my cheeks to get it visible. But the shade is gorgeous and I'm certain I will order it the next time I order from E.L.F.

Then there was Innocent, also a lovely shade but I personally think I look better in warmer colors. This is a pink shade with a cold undertone to it and the pigmentation of this blush was great. With only a few few strokes I got a lot of color showing. One thing I didn't like was that this blush got super messy in the container. I also didn't like the brushes that came with the blush, but hey, you can't really complain when the price is that great.

E.L.F. BLUSH: TICKLED PINK

E.L.F. Studio Blush in Tickled Pink £3.75

Oh, blushes. I have recently gotten this urge to buy more blushes because it's so pretty with a little color on the cheeks. This blush from E.L.F. Cosmetics has been in my makeup bag for a while now. It's a really pretty pink color that even looks a little peachy on the cheeks, nothing wrong with that.. This blush is matte and has no shimmer to it which is good. These have great pigmentation and come in a great variation of colors - I'd love to buy more of them. I can't say I'm anything other than satisfied with this blush. If you want a cheap, great blush you should definitely try one of these blushes.

Actually I have a new blush from the E.L.F. Studio Line that came in the mail - Candid Coral. Oh I've wanted that blush for so long now. My sister and I ordered last week when they had free shipping for 24 hours. So I will have a few new goodies to try out for you guys.

Have you tried the E.L.F. Studio Blushes? Which shade do you like the most? Every single shade looks gorgeous, it's a hard pick!

MUS BLUSH IN PEACH

This is my one and only blush from Make Up Store and it is in the shade Peach. It's a gorgeous peachy coral shade, you can see that I've used it much (I almost never get down to the bottom - don't know why not). I love all their blushes, they have so many great shades and they are very pigmented. It blends in well, you only need a little bit of product on your brush to get results and it isn't drying the skin, though you can see that it does get a bit powdery. This may just be my blush brush, maybe, maybe not. It easily stays on for hours and I couldn't be anything else than happy about this peachy blush. The package is nice and sleek, just the way I like it. If I weren't a poor student at the moment I would definitely buy more makeup from MUS.

MUA MOSAIC BLUSH

This lovely blush is from Makeup Academy and is a mix of four shades. If you mix all four shades together you get a very light pink blush that blends in with the skin very nicely. I actually really like this blush. I got this when MUA had their 40% facebook offer, so it was super cheap. It's still very cheap for such a lovely blush. It stays on for a long time and gives a nice shimmery affect. You can choose to not blend all the four shades and instead just blend the darker shades - red, brown and purple. Then you'll get a bit darker shade. But the mix of all four is a really pretty blushing pink. If you want me to show how it looks on the cheeks I will. Just leave a comment down below and I will do a swatch for you.
