E.L.F. SHIMMERING FACIAL WHIP: LILAC PETAL

A current favorite in my make up bag is the E.l.f. Essential Shimmering Facial Whip in Lical Petal. This gives a great shimmer as I apply it on my cheek bones, as well as a little on cheeks. It gives a healthy looking glow to a natural everyday look and I think this adds a little extra to the look. I personally think this is easy to apply, but I have read that some find it harder. Blending it out with a brush makes it easy, lately I've been using the Real Techniques stippling brush.  This is what it says about the product on the website: "Multipurpose, on-the-go whipped colourant is vitamin B, C and E packed to instantly brighten and soothe skin with no greasy after-feel." I like that it doesn't feel sticky on the cheeks after applying it. I also like the little tube that makes it easy to apply the little amount of product that you need to get a lot of shimmer. I simply love this product just because of the nice shimmery look it gives me. At a price of £1.50 you can't go wrong with trying this product - if you like adding shimmer to your face.

E.L.F. WATERPROOF EYELINER PEN

E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black £1.50

My sister was desperately wanting a eyeliner pencil so she could get better at putting on eyeliner since she finds it hard. She ordered one from E.l.f. Cosmetics that was a real bargain. When I first saw this I was like: Oooh, such thin tip. The one I have from H&M has a much thicker tip and since there's not much left in it I'm on the hunt for a new pencil eyeliner. I'm sorry to say this pencil did not cut it for me. The first time I applied it, it was really great. Black and easy to work with, stayed on well for hours as well. The second time though, applying it wasn't going well. I don't really know what happened with it. The eyeliner wasn't applying to the eye and I got no black color whatsoever. Although afterwards I thought that the reason that it wasn't applying well was that I had put on some face oil earlier. Maybe this wasn't a good base. Well, the tip is really nice and thin. Hopefully you'll have better luck applying it than I did. On the first go, it felt like a really good eyeliner pencil. Try it out and see what you think.

MECHANICAL EYELASH CURLER

 After my eyelash curler broke I was in desperate need of a new one - I even tried gluing it together with super-glue which lasted for a while until it broke again. Therefore I felt forced to buy a new one and right in time came E.L.F. Cosmetics with their free shipping. I was going to order anyway and my broken eyelash curler came to mind - I quickly checked the eyelash curlers and found this interesting little thing. It looked super big, weird och clumpy. 

This is what it says on their website: "This innovative eyelash curler has a special curved design which angles to suit all eye shapes. Its silicone rubber pad applies the appropriate amount of pressure to curl lashes naturally and allows for damage-free heating. Get long-lasting curled lashes both easily and safely. Add a swipe of e.l.f. Water and Earth Mascara and curled lashes remain in perfect shape all day." I have to say the description is pretty accurate, it really does give the right amount of pressure when curling the lashes and it feels super safe. I was always afraid to pull out my lashes with some kind of quick movement with my old curler but this feels more controlled. If anyone understands what I'm trying to say.. With my old eyelash curler it was much easier to apply to much pressure when curling my lashes. I didn't like this. But this one feels so much better.

I have to say this is the best eyelash curler I've ever tried - I'm kinda glad my other eyelash curler got broken now. This curler is super easy and comfy to use. The big handles gives a steady grip and it's really easy to work up extra curled long lashes. On the website it actually has got black plastic endings on the picture - but I got white. At first I wasn't pleased with the white but I don't really care now. For the ridiculously low price of this eyelash curler it is well worth a go. I would even pay more for it. It feels like this one is going to last me a long time. The lashes get super long and really curled, I love this. I would definitely recommend this!

E.L.F. BLUSH: CANDID CORAL

Finally finally I have the one blush I've been wanting for a long time - Candid Coral. I've been wanting this for so long - but every time I'm about to order the shade is out of stock. Note: I usually order when they have some kind of offer. This time they had free shipping for the weekend and the shade was there. Hooray. 

I love this shade, it is probably my favorite blush right now. A lovely peachy coral tone with a hint of shimmer to it, I imagine this blush being suitable for almost anyone. It applies well on the cheeks and you can easily decide how much color you want. I like it as much as I thought I would and I'm so happy that I got it. Coral blushes are my favorite.

E.L.F. LIPSTICK SWATCHES

E.L.F. Essential Lipsticks £1.50

 

A few weeks ago E.L.F. had free shipping for the weekend so I got all excited and wanted to try out some more lipsticks from the essential line. I already owned Sociable and Fearless and felt that these applied better then my mineral lipsticks from E.L.F. So I ordered three new ones. I love the new colors that I got and I was really excited to try Nostalgic and Captivating - they are my new favorites. The packaging of these lipsticks are really bad, I don't like the look of them at all. Somehow Captivating got pushed up and smooshed in the top which I wasn't too happy about. But you get what you pay for, the packaging may not be pretty but they are really cheap and the lipsticks are good. Though the lasting power of these lipsticks is so so.. Anyway I tried doing a lip swatch for you guys, I hope you enjoy it.

E.L.F. ESSENTIAL BLUSHES

E.L.F. Essential Blush With Brush in Innocent and Glow £2.50

These two pretty blushes are now in the hands of my sister who got them when we last ordered. I really wanted to try them myself because I've had an eye on the shade Glow for a while now. And it sure was pretty. So I laid my hands on these just to try them out and to do a face swatch for you. I end up never doing swatches. Fo shame.

I first tried the shade Glow  and I have to say I liked this one the best. It is a lovely peachy color that I really love, but the pigmentation wasn't as good as Innocent though. With Glow I had to do several strokes on my cheeks to get it visible. But the shade is gorgeous and I'm certain I will order it the next time I order from E.L.F.

Then there was Innocent, also a lovely shade but I personally think I look better in warmer colors. This is a pink shade with a cold undertone to it and the pigmentation of this blush was great. With only a few few strokes I got a lot of color showing. One thing I didn't like was that this blush got super messy in the container. I also didn't like the brushes that came with the blush, but hey, you can't really complain when the price is that great.

E.L.F. BLUSH: TICKLED PINK

E.L.F. Studio Blush in Tickled Pink £3.75

Oh, blushes. I have recently gotten this urge to buy more blushes because it's so pretty with a little color on the cheeks. This blush from E.L.F. Cosmetics has been in my makeup bag for a while now. It's a really pretty pink color that even looks a little peachy on the cheeks, nothing wrong with that.. This blush is matte and has no shimmer to it which is good. These have great pigmentation and come in a great variation of colors - I'd love to buy more of them. I can't say I'm anything other than satisfied with this blush. If you want a cheap, great blush you should definitely try one of these blushes.

Actually I have a new blush from the E.L.F. Studio Line that came in the mail - Candid Coral. Oh I've wanted that blush for so long now. My sister and I ordered last week when they had free shipping for 24 hours. So I will have a few new goodies to try out for you guys.

E.L.F. STUDIO BRONZER

E.L.F. Studio Bronzer in Warm £3.75

This easypeasy bronzer palette from E.L.F. has everything you need to highlight your face - for an everyday look or an evening look. The darkest shade of brown I use for creating shadows in my face, the lighter brown and the beige tone blended together for the rest of the face and last the gorgeous peachy pink blush for the cheeks. The blush is lovelaayy.

It has become one of my favorite products from E.L.F. Cosmetics I must say. It's a very versatile bronzer palette that is easy and great to work with when you're highlighting your face. When I first bought this I didn't use it that much because I didn't know how to highlight my face. Now that I do - after watching several highlighting tutorials on YouTube.. I sort of want to do it all the time because it can make your face look totally different. In a good way because it enhances your features. I really like this palette and I would definitely repurchase it a second time.

E.L.F. ESSENTIAL LIP GLOSS

E.L.F. Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF15 in Juiced Berry £1.50

The name - Juiced Berry - really describes the wonderful scent that this lip gloss has. It smells fruity and great and it's one of the things I like about this gloss. The color is nice although it gives a very slight hint of color, barely showing at all (on my lips, that is). It looks exactly like it does on the website which is a really good thing. It's always a relief when you know the color showing is the actual color you're gonna get. It feels a bit sticky on the lips, but it stays on for quite a while. The smell is a big plus for me.

E.L.F. STUDIO PRESSED POWDER

E.L.F. Studio Pressed Powder in Sand £3.75

This powder was one of the first things I got from E.L.F. It was before they decided to raise their prices and since it didn't cost as much I wanted to try it out. I got the powder in the shade Sand, but I have realized that this was not the right shade for me. It gives me a really yellow tone when I apply it over my face. It probably would have been more suitable for me to pick the shade Porcelain instead (boohoo, why?). I don't know why but I always tell myself I'm not that fair skinned when I clearly am. I need some sun.

The coverage is okay, it gives the face a matte look although it doesn't last very long. That's the negative part. Since I got it I've used it as an everyday powder because it has a light coverage and doesn't give a too heavy look. I can't put on too much because then my face will look yellow - next time I'll choose my shade wiser. Fact is I've repurchased it a second time because my sister was ordering from E.L.F. a while ago. Overall it's a good powder, but it doesn't last very long.

E.L.F. ESSENTIAL LIPSTICK

E.L.F. Essential Lipstick in Sociable £1.50

One of my two lipsticks from E.L.F.s Essential line. This is in Sociable and it is a bright colorful pink shade that I think is very fab. One thing I've noticed is that the essential lipsticks almost comes on better on my (dry) lips. The mineral lipsticks always enhances the dry flakes on my lips, that sometimes aren't even visible until i put the mineral lipsticks on. Like boom, flaky lips. That's why I am really wanting more shades in these lipsticks - nostalgic seems like a great nude shade. A big plus is that they are so cheap, but the negative part is the packaging. It's not very pretty. Note: I have no makeup on on this picture, except for the lipstick of course.

E.L.F. MINERAL LIPSTICKS

E.L.F. Mineral Lipsticks in Rosy Raisin and Natural Nymph £5.00

I got these when I was first starting to get interested in trying lipsticks. Since I really hadn't tried lipsticks before I wasn't sure which shades where suitable for me - that's why I decided to order lipsticks from E.L.F. because they had a good variation of shades for a low price so I could try a few ones out. When I ordered though, I think they were half the price. These lipsticks are creamy but they still stay on the lips for a couple of hours and the come in a range of 18 colors.

On to the shades - the first mineral lipstick I got is in the shade Rosy Raisin which is a lovely red color, very warm toned with a little slight of shimmer in it. This shade suit my original color quite well, although that wasn't what I was going for. But it has grown on me and now I like the shade, it evens out my lip color and gives it a slight hint of more red toned lips.

The second shade is Natural Nymph which is a nude color that I actually like very much. My love for nude lipsticks only grows each day. I was afraid it would look straight up concealer-looking, but it didn't. It has a discreet pinkish undertone to it and when I use it I usually just dab it on to just brighten up the lips. I also like using it when I'm going out and I wear heavier eye makeup. It gives a great look. The one negative thing I find about these lipsticks is that they're hard to get an even color with on the lips. This may just be on my dry lips, though.
